I am pleased to endorse Julie Powell for the Davis School Board. I have had the privilege of teaching three of Julie’s children, and I have also watched Julie serve our district with intelligence, integrity, and courage. Her legal background gives her an invaluable ability to understand how state law affects our schools, while her perspective keeps students, teachers, and families at the center of those decisions. As a teacher, I value her strong support for teacher expertise and her equally strong respect for parents and families. I am grateful for the thoughtful, principled voice Julie brings to our school board.
